A Daytime Glam Eye Look: Neutral Shimmer

Hey there, beauties!

Today, we’re going ham on the glam (teehee) with this shimmery daytime eye look that is simple and fierce.  Who doesn’t love a little winged eyeliner and glittery eyeshadow every once in a while?  I think that this look is very appropriate for fall since it is made up of some gorgeous bronze shades, so I love wearing it during this season when my eyes need a little pop.  This look is really easy to achieve and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do!

Daytime Glam Eye Look

First, I used my NYX Jumbo Pencil in the shade Iced Mocha to prep my eyes.  I blended the edges slightly to smooth out any harsh lines.

Next, I patted Urban Decay’s Space Cowboy all over my lid with a damp brush.  This eyeshadow is the meaning of glitter.  Using a damp brush helps to intensify the pigmentation of the eyeshadow and reduce fallout.

Afterward, I used the shades Naked and Buck from the Naked Palette and a fluffy brush to blend the previous shades into the crease.

To deepen up the look a little more, I took the shades Whiskey and Password from the Naked Smoky palette and focused it on the crease and a bit of the outer V of my eye.

I then applied my L’oreal Liquid Liner and Ardell 117 Natural lashes along with using a mixture Urban Decay’s Thirteen and High from the Smoky Palette to highlight my brow bone and inner corners.

And that, ladies and gents, is the finished look.  I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and that it was helpful to you!  I think that while this look is on the bolder side of things, it is still totally wearable for any kind of daytime event and isn’t overdone. Thanks for reading!

Amber Lights | Warm Fall Eyeshadow

Hello, lovelies!

I don’t know about you, but during the fall, I LOVE wearing warm, sparkly shadows to embrace the season.  Amber Lights from MAC is a beautiful shade that does just that!  Since I love it so much, I have based this fall-inspired eye look around it!  This eyeshadow really brings out blue eyes, but also looks amazing on any eye color.  I highly recommend picking it up if you’ve been on the lookout for an autumn eyeshadow!  Let’s get into the tutorial!

Eyeshadow Tutorial

  1.  I applied Makeup Geek’s Peach Smoothie and Barcelona Beach to the crease of my eye.  This doesn’t have to be exact; I like to blend these shades out a little through the lid with a big, fluffy blending brush.  This will be the transition shade and make other shades easier to blend.

2.    Time for the star of the show –Amber Lights from MAC.  I applied this shade all over the lid.  I really packed it on so that it was very opaque and sparkly!

3.    I then blended Makeup Geek’s Cocoa Bear through the crease for a warm, cranberry look.

4.    To make the eye a little smokier, I blended Cocoa Bear along the outer edge of the lower lash line.

5.    Next, I blended Amber Lights in the middle of the lower lash line.

6.    I then highlighted my brow bone and inner corner with Urban Decay’s Thirteen.

7.    To give my eye more definition, I applied Urban Decay’s Bourbon Eyeliner to the lash line and smudged it out.

8.    Lastly, I applied Sephora’s Outrageous Curl Mascara with Ardell 120 Lashes.

Voila!  This look is super quick and easy to do!  It’s perfect for this season and made me feel really festive and excited for fall!

Worth the Splurge? | My GlamGlow Mask Collection Review / Comparison

Hello, lovelies!

You have probably heard the rave about GlamGlow’s masks from beauty enthusiasts everywhere.  I have, too, so I obviously had to try them out!  Today, I’ll be telling you what I think of those I have in my collection!  Are they worth the splurge?  Let’s see, shall we?

IMG_5818 IMG_5829

Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

IMG_5011 (1) IMG_5013 IMG_5016 IMG_5022

Price: $69

What it is formulated to do:
THIRSTYMUD™ uses the newest, most advanced, and extreme hydration active technologies. It moisturizes, restores, replenishes, and calms the skin. Dewdration™ boosts and locks in moisture for a dewy and youthful result while HydraPack™ leaves skin with an instant silky, soft, and supple feel. GreenEnergy™ smooths and energizes the skin, giving you a healthy-looking, glowing complexion

Suggested Usage:
-Use two to three times per week or when needed.
-Apply an even layer to clean, dry skin.
-Can be used on the face, neck, and chest.
-Daytime use: Leave on for 10 to 20 minutes, allowing product to absorb into the skin. Wipe off with tissue and massage remaining product into skin or rinse with water.
-Nighttime use: Leave on to infuse the skin with moisture and wake up with extremely hydrated skin.
-In-flight use: Apply at beginning of the flight and leave on for flight duration.

My opinion: I love the sleek packaging -It’s so beautiful!  As for the product itself, I think it is great for people with dry skin that is not too sensitive.  When my skin is  on the normal to oily side, this mask doesn’t really do much for me besides cause breakouts.  Keep in mind that my skin is extremely sensitive, so it can break out very easily.  It has a delicious coconut scent and leaves the skin feeling refreshed.  It feels almost tingly to my skin upon application and I love how amazing my skin feels when I rinse it off!  When my skin is dry, this is a great mask to use!

Recommendation: I would recommend this to anyone with drier skin that is not sensitive.

Worth the Splurge?: Depending on your skin type, it can be… but it is pretty pricey and I think there are probably better options out there than something so expensive! Again, my skin is so sensitive that I don’t get very positive results from masks often, so keep in mind that while this may not be worth the money to me, it might be a miracle worker for you!

Tinglexfoliate Mud Mask

IMG_5856IMG_5862 (1) IMG_5863 IMG_5867

Price: $69

It claims:
– Noticeable three-day glow from skin collagen synthesis.
-Helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
– Leaves skin brighter, smoother and softer.
– Offers multilevel resurfacing exfoliation and evens out skin tone.
– Helps tighten skin and minimizes pores.
– Absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.
– Helps protect against free-radical damage.

How to use:
– Apply a thin layer to clean face.
– Stir before use to liquefy.
– Expect a tingle-tactic tightening effect in 10 minutes or less.
– Remove mask with water in circular motions to exfoliate.
– Use twice a week or as often as desired.

My opinion: It dries out quickly, so I recommend buying the smaller, cheaper size that you will be able to use up before it hardens.  It has a tingling sensation on the face that slowly dies down.  It smells slightly like green tea to me and leaves the skin feeling a little tight.  This mask will bring all the imperfections to the surface.  Since my skin is so sensitive, I don’t love this one as it can be a bit harsh.  It’s great if you need something to draw out any pimples and clear up your skin.

Recommendation:  I would recommend this to anyone with normal to oily skin that isn’t too sensitive.

Worth the splurge?: In my opinion, and for my skin type, definitely not.  However, as I said, if your skin is not sensitive, then give the smaller size of this baby a go!

Supermud Clearing Treatment

Price: $69

What it is formulated to do:
“This formula was clinically developed by GLAMGLOW® dermatological chemists to help fight all common skin concerns including breakouts, discoloration, black and white heads, razor bumps, and in-grown hair. Powerful, skin-clearing mud visibly draws out dirt and congestion while a proprietary six-acid blend dramatically brightens and softens skin. It works to magnetically draw out dirt and pores with Activated-X Charcoal, leaving skin smooth and healthy-looking.”

Suggested Usage:
-Apply a thin layer to clean skin.
-Leave on for five, 10, 15, or 20 minutes.
-Pore-Matrix™ will reveal dots of vacuum extractions.
-Remove with water.
-Use as often as needed.
-Use as a full mask or spot treatment.

My Opinion: This mask does everything that it claims!  Although the smell is a bit wonky, it clears out my pores and tightens them up.  It leaves my skin feeling super soft!  It really reduces the size of my breakouts and clears my skin!  Overall, I think it’s a great mask!  Again, it will dry out on you if you don’t use it quickly enough, so I really recommend getting the smaller size.  It’s also less cash that you have to spend, so even better!  I think this is great as a mask or spot treatment.

Recommendation: I would recommend it to all skin types that need help with reducing their acne and tightening pores.  If your skin is extremely sensitive, this may be a no-go for you, but other than that, it’s a pretty great product!

Worth the splurge?: This mask is pretty amazing, however the price is very high!  I think the smaller and cheaper ($19) version of this mask is the way to go since you won’t have to spend as much and it won’t all dry up before you can use the product!

Brightmud Eye Treatment

IMG_5003 IMG_5057  IMG_5052 IMG_5056

IMG_5061 (1) IMG_5073

What it is formulated to do:
Non-Dry Tapwipe™ Bioactive Mud consists of powerful actives that help minimize puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines while brightening and hydrating the eyes. Natural high bioactivity materials and bentonites absorb toxins delivering high nutrients and minerals essential for ultrabright, amazing eyes. Simply tap-on to deliver the range of advanced active ingredients into the skin then wipe-off, leaving a micro layer of actives for extended results.

Suggested Usage:
-Use one dual ChromeCell™ per use, two to three times per week or when needed.
-Close eye and tap on an even layer using the entire product under eye or orbital eye.
-Leave on for three minutes.
-Close eye and slowly wipe off with a soft, dry tissue, using a clean part for each wipe.

My Opinion:  This mask is absolutely amazing!  I get pretty dark circles under my eyes since I definitely don’t get enough sleep.  It brightens up my under eyes and decreases the puffiness SO. MUCH.  It’s insane how well it works!  I didn’t think this product would live up to its claims, but it has proved me wrong and I’m in love with it!  It feels really refreshing when you apply it and doesn’t have much of a smell.  It almost tingles on the skin and the sensitive edges next to my eyes do begin to sting a little after this has been sitting there for a few minutes, but it’s nothing extreme.  After rinsing, I’m always so impressed with the results!  It makes my face look like I got a full 8 hours of sleep!  The best part is that you can actually get two uses out of one pod since there is so much product there, which will give you 24 uses instead of only 12!

Recommendation:  If you have dark undereyes and never get enough sleep, I think that this product will work great for you!   However, if your eyes are super sensitive, they may be irritated by this product.

Worth the splurge?: The price is pretty insane for an undereye mask, I know… However, I found mine at Marshalls for $40 cheaper than the usual price!  I was hooked by the deal and decided to try it out!  I’m so glad that I did!  I don’t think I would repurchase this since it was so expensive, but if I ever find it at such a cheap price again, I will definitely be picking it up!  If you’re interested in buying this, make sure to check the Marshall’s beauty aisle as they have GlamGlow products pretty often!

Overall, I’d say that GlamGlow does have some amazing masks, BUT they are extremely expensive and, in most cases, I would recommend buying the smaller size to save money and be able to use up the product before it dries out.  Also, as I said before, be sure to check Marshall’s beauty aisle to see if they have any Glamglow masks at cheaper prices!  Their packaging is to die for and most of these masks smell absolutely amazing!  I recommend getting samples at Sephora and testing them out of your skin before committing to a whole bottle! I recently tried out PowerMud, which worked wonders on my acne, so I really recommend checking that one out!  It smells like heaven!

Thanks so much for reading!  Do you have any GlamGlow masks?  If so, which do you recommend and which aren’t so great?

The Perfect At-Home Spa / Pamper Night!

Hello, beauties!

Grab yourself a cup of tea, because today I will be showing you my all-time favorite products to have the best spa night ever!  I think it’s so important to pamper yourself and take time to relax.  These are the products I use to do just that!

Bath and Bodywork’s Lanikai Coconut candle smells like heaven and I have been obsessed with it recently!  It smells fresh, sweet and, somehow, reminds me of a really lovely conditioner.

Glamglow’s Thirstymud is perfect for rehydrating my dry skin and also smells like coconut, which happens to go perfectly with my candle!

IMG_5011 IMG_5013 IMG_5022 IMG_5016

Glamglow’s Brightmud is absolutely AMAZING.  It works magic on the dark circle demons.

IMG_5056 IMG_5057 IMG_5051 IMG_5003

Lush’s H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment makes my hair SO soft.  Also, it smells so incredibly good that I want to eat it.  All of it.

IMG_4989 IMG_4997 IMG_4996\

Lush’s Dorothy Bubble Bar is my favorite for a relaxing bubble bath!  It smells amazing and looks so cute!  I love this so much I’ve included it in my Lush Favorites!

The Tree Hut Sugar Scrub in the Tropical Mango Scent is what heaven will smell like -I’m sure of it.  It makes my legs SO smooth and is the best sugar scrub I’ve ever used!  If we’re going to get technical here, it has the perfect sugar to oil ratio and almost a gel-like consistency that really gets off all the dead skin!

IMG_4983 IMG_4982 IMG_4978

LUSH’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub is perfect for getting all the dry skin off of my lips and it tastes great, too!

IMG_4976 IMG_5035

The Body Shop’s Argan Radiance Oil adds some much needed moisture to my skin! It doesn’t have an overpowering scent and leaves my skin with a nice shine, but doesn’t feel greasy.  I love using this to give my skin a nice glow and it’s so easy to use since it’s in a spray bottle!

How I Apply Winged Liner | Products, Tips, and Tricks

Firstly, I want to say a huge THANK YOU, because I hit 300 followers today and can’t believe that so many of you decided to hit that follow button!  I’m so glad to have you around.  Please make yourself welcome here, in my little space of the internet. ❤

Today, I’ll be showing you all how I do my winged liner!  Winged liner is a skill that has always been extremely difficult for me.  It really is an art and takes a long time to master!  I never understood how people could possibly apply liner so precisely without getting raccoon eyes, nonetheless somehow manage to get both wings even!  It has taken me a lot of experimentation and I’m still figuring things out, but I feel that I have come up with a pretty good collection of products that I can easily use to get my wing “so sharp it could kill a man”, as they say. 😉  I hope that this post helps you if you’ve had the same difficulties with eyeliner as I have!

IMG_1265 IMG_1266

Screen Shot 2015-07-24 at 7.29.56 PM IMG_2436

*Psst*… If you want, you can enter my MAC lipstick giveaway. 😉

I start off by applying a pencil liner along my lash line.  This makes it much easier for me to make sure that one side of eyeliner is not much thicker than the other.  I have more control with eyeliner in the pencil form.  I have been LOVING NARS’ Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto, because it is super black and pigmented, easy to apply and doesn’t smudge.  Also, it twists out of the tube so you never have to sharpen it!  This liner costs $25.

IMG_3585 IMG_3581IMG_3575 IMG_3574IMG_1238IMG_1239

Next, to begin the wing-making process, I use my Zoeva 317 Wing Liner brush along with my Ulta gel eyeliner in Black, which normally costs $10, but is on sale for $3 right now!  I flick the brush from the outer corner of my eye upwards diagonally toward the end of my brow. I usually draw this line about 1/4 of an inch long.

IMG_3546 IMG_3547 IMG_3550 IMG_3518 IMG_3517 IMG_3553IMG_1255IMG_1249

After this thin, little flick is made, I take the same brush and gel and, starting from the top point of the flick, draw inwards, thickening up the wing. I also use the gel to sharpen up the liner along my lash line.  I clean up the edge with a small brush and some concealer.  Any little, precise concealer-type brush will do.  Mine is by Posh. 🙂

To get that super sharp flick, I then take a liquid liner and ever so carefully flick out the very tip on my liner.  This part is the trickiest for me since liquid liner is so easy to mess up with.  One wrong move and you’ll look like a panda, which is why I only use liquid liner for the very point.  Mine is from L’oreal.

Aaand, we’re finished!  Doing all of these steps makes it much easier for me to make each eye even and sharp.  I hope this has been helpful to you!  What are your favorite products for winged liner!  Do you struggle with it, too?

How I Fill in My Eyebrows | My Natural, Everyday Brow Routine

Hi there, gorgeous people:)

Today, I’ll be showing you how I fill in my eyebrows every day!  I picked up these brow items in an Ulta haul recently and I have fallen in love with them!  I feel like I have found the dream team of brow products that are super quick and easy to use.  If there were a recipe to get your brows on fleek -whatever fleek is-, it would be these products. 😉

IMG_1010IMG_3439 (2)

Before I begin, have you entered my contest to win a MAC lipstick of your choice? If you haven’t, I’d love for you to join in on the fun. 🙂

Onto the brows!  I start off by using my Anastasia Brow Pen in Universal Light.  This thing is absolutely amazing at making hair-like strokes that look real.  This product fills in my brows very naturally and I recommend it to everyone!  It costs $21, but I think it’s totally worth it!

I start by filling in the upper arch part of my brow and then drawing a line on the bottom of the inner part of my brow, lightly blending upwards.

IMG_4975 (1) IMG_1011

I next use Maybelline’s Brow Mascara in Blonde to hold my brows in place.  This costs $7.99 at the drugstore and I think it’s one of the best gels I’ve used!  Don’t be scared by the brush, it’s actually much easier to apply than you would think!

IMG_3406IMG_3417 (1)IMG_1009

If I really want a bold brow, I then go in with Anastasia’s Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe with my Zoeva 317 Wing Liner brush.  I only do this step if I am going all out and don’t do this on an everyday basis.  I like the look of the pomade when I am taking eye pictures because it really ups my brow game!  This pomade costs $18 and is a great product to have, especially if you have sparse brows!  A little goes a LONG way, so it will last you forever!

IMG_3409IMG_3410 (1)IMG_3411 (1)IMG_3415IMG_1007

I hope you enjoyed seeing my everyday brow routine!  I love all of these products and highly recommend them!  Thanks so much for reading!  What brow products do you use?

Naked Smoky Palette Review!

Hello, wonderful humans:)

The other day, something really, really lovely arrived in the mail… the Naked Smoky Palette! I may or may not have done a happy dance for ten minutes straight when it came.  I will now give you my opinion of it along with some swatches of it’s glorious contents.

First off, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and I’m in love with it.  It feels really sturdy and sleek. This palette doesn’t clasp shut like the Naked 2 and 3 palettes, instead it is magnetic and I LOVE how easily it opens and closes.  The size of the mirror on the inside is perfect, it fills the whole side of the package unlike some of the other slightly smaller mirrors that were included in the past Naked palettes.  Also, the brush that comes with it is pretty amazing.  It is double ended with a smoky smudge brush on one end and a tapered crease brush on the other.  The box that this palette comes in also includes a little booklet with tutorials on four different looks that you can create using Naked Smoky.

IMG_2118 (1) IMG_2120 IMG_2121 IMG_2111IMG_2152

IMG_2130 (1) IMG_2133 (1)Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 11.44.13 AM

Nine of these shades are brand new and three are exclusive to this palette.

Shades included:

  • High (champagne shimmer w/micro-glitter)
  • Dirtysweet (medium bronze)
  • Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter)
  • Armor (metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle)
  • Slanted (light metallic gray)
  • Dagger (medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer)
  • Black Market (jet-black satin)
  • Smolder (deep plum-taupe)
  • Password (cool taupe matte)
  • Whiskey (rich brown matte)
  • Combust (soft pink-taupe)
  • Thirteen (light beige satin)

The first four shades are shimmery and look absolutely gorgeous!  They aren’t overly sparkly and don’t have a bunch of glittery fallout when applied like some eyeshadows do.  The next four are a satin finish.  These are the darkest shades in the palette.  I love how easy they are to blend!  The last four are matte shades.  I absolutely love all of these colors!  Thirteen is the most beautiful, bright white that I love to use as a highlight.  The most pigmented shadows are Dirtysweet and Thirteen, which were incredibly easy to swatch on my arm.  All of the shadows felt super creamy and easy to use when I swatched them!

This palette costs $54.  It is available on Urban Decay’s website right now for order, Sephora (online only), and will be available at Ulta in-store on July 16!  Although this palette is pricey, I think it is totally worth it!  This may be my favorite palette they’ve come out with so far!  I love how they included more matte shades and a variety of different finishes.  In other Naked palettes, the shades have been mostly shimmery finishes, so it’s nice to have more satin and matte colors.  Every shade is SUPER blendable -even the darkest colors!  I think this palette is extremely versatile and I am so glad to have it in my collection.  I definitely recommend Naked Smoky, especially if you are looking for a nice, high-quality palette that includes all the shades and finishes that you need.  This palette can create so many beautiful day and night looks.  It has all the necessities from the perfect smoky eye to even a light, daytime look.  Overall, I’d say Urban Decay did an extremely AMAZING job with this palette, because I love it to pieces.  You need this in your life!

I created this look using the Naked Smoky Palette.  All of the shadows were super pigmented and easy to apply and blend!  If y’all would like to see a tutorial on it, I would love to make one!

4th of July Party Ideas! | DIY Photo Booth, Snacks, Makeup, and More!

Hello again!

Happy 4th of July!

Today I am so excited to be sharing with you guys some super festive, fun, and easy things you can do to make your fourth just a little more spectacular!  I have put together a bunch of cute ideas for an Independence Day Party and hope that this post helps some of you out and gives you a little patriotic inspiration!  All of these ideas are very inexpensive and can be done last minute as this holiday tends to creep up rather quickly most of the time! 🙂 Let’s begin, shall we?

First off, let’s put on some festive makeup to get in the mood for this fabulous party we’ll be throwing!  I started off with my base makeup on and eyes prepped.

I added a brown shade called Tease from the Naked 2 palette to my crease with Sephora’s crease brush.  As you can see I love this color quite a lot.  I am devastated that I can barely get any product out of the pan anymore!

IMG_0247  IMG_0184

Next, I placed a shimmery, silver shade called Verve, again from the Naked 2 palette, all over my lid to give it some sparkle with Sephora’s shadow brush.

IMG_0194 IMG_0218

I then put a bright, sparkly white shade called Swan Song (ooh, how fancy!) from my little Kat Von D palette on my inner corner and brow bone with Sephora’s concealer brush.

IMG_0207 IMG_0208

Next, I lined my upper lash line with Sephora’s slanted eyeliner brush with a dark brown shade called Busted from the Naked 2 palette to give more definition.

Now for the fun part; the color!  I used a sparkly blue liner by Nickak that came in my Ipsy a few months back to line the lower, inner corner of my eye.  I just LOVE this pop of festiveness!

Now of course we gotta get dem lashes done, gurl, so I then went in with Perversion mascara by Urban Decay and then sealed in that coat with some waterproof covergirl mascara.  I find that Perversion tends to get all around my eyes if I don’t seal it in with a good, waterproof mascara, but when used together, these two are my current lash dream team!

IMG_0234  IMG_0274

Of course, we need to tie that bright pop of red in there somewhere and what better way than with a classic red lip?  I am lining my lips with a clear lip liner by MUFE that will make sure that my bright red lips don’t bleed.  Then I am going in with my adorable, little sample size of Marc Jacobs’ So Rouge lipstick.  IT’S SO PRETTY.  AGH.  I just love it. 🙂

IMG_0281IMG_0223 (1)IMG_0227 (1)

And there we have our beautiful, simple, patriotic makeup!

Onto the outfit!  I am wearing a plaid shirt from Aeropostale, jean shorts from American Eagle, white vans, and, OF COURSE, a red bandana, because it screams country pride and is SO cute.  A red bandana is a super cheap and easy way to tie some festiveness into your outfit! 🙂  Also, any jean jackets look very cute for this holiday in my opinion, so if you have one lying around, it would be a cute addition to a simple red or blue shirt for a simple 4th of July outfit!

Now that we look the part for this party, let’s make the food!

I have put together some ridiculously easy and cute recipes for patriotic snacks that your guests will love!  That is if you don’t eat it all first.

For the first snack, we will be making red, white, and blue skewers!  You will need some red and blue fruit or berries of your choice that you happen to have in your fridge (I have picked blueberries and strawberries), marshmallows, and -of course- skewers.

Layer them on your skewers in a red white and blue pattern and lay them out in a cute dish.  Your guests will love them!  They are SO cute and, best of all, extremely simple!

IMG_0380   IMG_0376

Onto the next snack -Patriotic Popcorn! THIS STUFF IS SO DELICIOUS.  Be warned; if you make this, you may eat it all yourself. 😉

Start by popping some popcorn or buying pre-popped popcorn that has no seasonings or butter.

Next, melt some white chocolate and drizzle it over your bowl of crunchy goodness.

IMG_0414 IMG_0421 IMG_0411 IMG_0423

Now sprinkle on some red, white, and blue candy, mix (I mixed mine with a spatula because it was very hot), and serve in a festive bowl.

IMG_0441    IMG_0429

Done!  Now you have the most delicious and simple snack to get everyone hooked on!

Of course, we’ll need a drink to wash all this sugar down, so I have made an Independence Iced Tea.

You’ll need red, berry-flavored tea bags, blueberries, and either sugar or sprite

Start by heating up your water.

Next, add in your tea bags and wait for them to steep.

IMG_0370  IMG_0366

Take out the tea bags and pour the tea into glasses with ice. (and a cute straw;)

IMG_0383 IMG_0384

Add some blueberries, ice and sweetener of your choice.  I added stevia to mine.  I did not have sprite, but it would make this drink really fizzy and sweet! 🙂

IMG_0387 IMG_0385

Feel free to decorate your glasses with fruit!

IMG_0400 IMG_0404

Tadahhh! All done!  And so yummy!

Onto the best part… decorations!

A photo booth is always a good idea at parties and they are super cheap and easy to make!

You will need a table cloth, streamers, and props (which I will show you how to make).

Hang up your table cloth in an area with good lighting.  I first tried to hang mine outside, but then realized the wind did not want to cooperate with me… it ended up turning me into a superhero, so it’s all good.  I decided to hang it inside in the end. 🙂

IMG_0321IMG_0323IMG_0320 (2) IMG_0317

Add your streamers and any other decor your little heart desires.

IMG_0351 IMG_0354

Now, for the props.

You will need some stars, straws, and a glue gun (or tape).  You can cut the stars out yourself on some festive paper or buy them at the store.  I got mine at Walmart for supah cheap! 🙂

Glue your stars to your patriotic straws with a hot glue gun and let the glue dry.

If you want to make your house a little more patriotic for this lovely holiday, I have a perfect little DIY for you!

I will be making cute, burlap star signs!

You will need three small canvases, burlap, a staple gun, three wooden stars, red, white, and blue paint, paint brushes, and a hot glue gun.  I purchased my canvases from Walmart, where they already were covered in burlap, so I will not have to staple mine on.  These cost about $4 for a pack of two.  If you need to staple the burlap onto your canvases, simply wrap the edges like you would a present and staple in place along the backside.  Make sure that your burlap is stretched tight!

Now, paint your stars and let them dry.

Feel free to make your stars more rustic-looking with a little sand paper!  Then, hot glue them onto your canvases and let the glue set.

All done!  These cute little stars are so easy and fun to make!  They can spruce up any area quite nicely and bring some patriotic cuteness into your home!

And with that, our Fourth of July Partay has sadly come to a close. Thank you all so much for reading!  I hope that you enjoyed this post and maybe found some patriotic inspiration!  Happy 4th of July!  See you next time!

Tarte Limited-Edition Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette Review!

~Hello, Lovelies!~

Today, I will be reviewing Tarte’s Limited-Edition Rainforest After Dark Palette!! I am SO excited to review this item, because it has been raved about by SO many people and now, I get to join in on the fun!  They have been sold out of this at all of the Sephoras that I’ve gone to recently and since this is a limited edition palette, they will not be getting any more in, BUT they do still have them on Sephora’s website (THANK THE LORD) so my lovely grandparents bought one for me! (Thank you, thank you, thank you!)

First off, let’s just look at the packaging… IT’S SO AMAZING!  I absolutely love it!  It’s very chic and sophisticated.  (Ooh, fancy words) I really love how it’s circular shaped, because not many palettes are.  The metallic gold snake on the front, with the sparkly purple jewel is so gorgeous!  I already knew I was going to love this palette, before I even opened it up!

On the inside, we find LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU NEED.  I mean seriously, there are six eyeshadows, a blush, bronzer, AND highlight! I think this makes it perfect to travel with, since it’s all in one convenient place!  AND it only costs $38.00!  That is a REALLY good deal!

Let’s look at the face items first.  LOOK AT HOW GORGEOUS THEY ARE.  THEY ARE SO PERFECT.  AGH. The highlight has just enough shimmer, but doesn’t make you look like you just dumped a bucket of fairy dust on your head and the bronzer is just the perfect shade and never looks muddy!  The blush also is the perfect shade and it doesn’t ever look like too much; it’s just the PERFECT everyday color!  I could live off of only these products and never really need to use any other blushes, bronzers, or highlighters.  I love them.  I SERIOUSLY LOVE THEM.

Onto the eyeshadows!  In this palette they have pretty much all of the colors you need for daytime or nighttime looks; from matte to shimmery, light to dark.  There isn’t a black shadow in this palette, but I’m alright with not having as many dark colors, since I don’t tend to gravitate towards them anyway.  There are several darker matte and shimmery shadows that will be perfect for me!  Absolutely everything in this palette has great color pay-off and is SO high quality!  I especially love the shimmery purple and gold shadows since they are such beautiful colors that are easy to use to spice up my everyday look.  I always keep it pretty simple and don’t really add in purples or golds, but these colors are so pretty, I will want to wear them every day!  The purple is just enough of a pop of color, without making it hard to pull off, especially for a daytime look.

In conclusion, I am just in love with this product.  It’s perfect and high quality.  Everything has great pigmentation and every color is beautiful.  All of the products feel so smooth when you put them on!  The packaging is unique, portable, and beautiful.  The price is amazing($38)!! I would give this 11 out of 10.  I love it.  I SERIOUSLY LOVE IT.  I recommend this palette to everyone, especially those looking for a palette that has everything they’ll need in it for a lower price.  If you wanted an amazing, easy to use palette, with everything you need, THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! 🙂

I hope that this review has been helpful and that you enjoyed reading!  I love you all!  Thank you SO much for 100+ followers! I am so excited to be able to share my love of the beauty world with you guys!  I hope you all are having an amazing day!
