5 Lush Products You Need | My Lush Favorites

Hello, lovelies! ❤

I picked up all my Lush favorites the other day and thought I would share with you the 5 things from their shop that I absolutely can’t live without!  Sometimes, it can be really overwhelming to walk into a Lush store completely packed with beautiful things and try to pick what to buy!  I hope that this post is helpful to you when trying choose what to get from this glorious place! 🙂

1.  Dorothy Bubble Bar – $6.25

IMG_4244 IMG_4236 IMG_4234 IMG_4233

I love how cute this bubble bar is!  I crumble this into the bath as I fill up the tub and it creates TONS of bubbles!  Also, it smells sooo heavenly!  It has a clean, floral-y, citrus kind of scent. If I want, I can get two uses out of this bubble bar even though it’s quite small.  I break the rainbow part off and have a red-ish bath and a second blue one with the rest!

According to the website: “The exotic floral scent of ylang ylang, sweet figs and uplifting orange oil will take you down the yellow brick road and far away. When you’re ready to come back and face reality you know what to do, click your heels three times…”

2.  H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment – $20.95

IMG_4313 IMG_4301   IMG_4294 IMG_4298

I have no clue how to pronounce this, but I love it to death.  This treatment has helped my hair so much!  I have long, thick, straight hair that can get frizzy and full of tangles!  I put this through the ends of my hair, not quite to my scalp, while it’s dry and I leave it for 20-30 minutes.  When I rinse it out, my hair is so smooth that I can’t stop running my fingers through it because it feels so soft!  I cannot describe how ABSOLUTELY AMAZING this product smells.  Its scent is sweet and almost cinnamon-y to me.  I normally hate the smell of eggnog, but for some reason, this scent reminds me of it and I love it!

According to Lush’s website: “It’s our version of a fresh face mask for the hair, with softening and moisturizing mashed bananas, avocados and olive oil, shine-enhancing balsamic vinegar and fresh eggs.”

3. Fizzbanger Bath Bomb – $5.95

IMG_4265IMG_4266 IMG_4271IMG_4270 IMG_4258IMG_4260

THIS BATH BOMB IS SO MUCH FUN.  I love the fresh scent that Fizzbanger has, but most of all, I love the colors!  It starts off with yellow that smells like apples and cinnamon and then reaches the bright blue middle, which has more of a spicy scent!  It crackles and pops as it fizzes, which I think is so cool!  Eventually, the whole bath is swirls of yellow and blue -and of course green once mixed.  I think this is the perfect Lush gift to people who have never tried this brand since it is so bright and fun to use!

According the Lush’s website: “The scent changes right before your nose, pulling you in with a delectable blend of crisp apples and cinnamon that settles into a spicy cinnamon toffee.”

4. Butterball Bath Bomb – $4.95

IMG_4252 IMG_4250 IMG_4245 IMG_4256

This bath bomb is not a super spectacular or showy bath bomb like the last one, but I still really, really enjoy it!  It is much smaller and smells sweet.  It is vanilla-scented and filled with chunks of cocoa butter that leave my skin feeling so smooth!  Once it fizzes into the bath, it leaves chunks of the butter that has melted to oil that you can stir around and smooth onto your skin to leave it feeling soft and moisturized.  It’s great for lazy people like me who don’t like taking the time to use lotion since it’s basically a soap and a lotion in one!

According to Lush: “Our vanilla-scented Bath Bomb is anything but boring when you lay back into a cozy white blanket of creamy, buttery froth. This little fizzer is the ultimate in comfort with chunks of creamy cocoa butter; it’s fantastic for rehydrating dry skin.”

If you’d like to see a demo of it, click here!

5. Ultrabalm – $13.95

IMG_4277 IMG_4283 IMG_4275

This balm is HEAVEN for dry skin.  It works miracles on dry, flaky, or chafed patches!  I’ve heard that it’s great for eczema, runners with chafed legs, and tattoos.  I use this on my elbows, hands, cuticles, feet, and anywhere that is exceptionally dry.  It soothes my skin any time it’s irritated and leaves it feeling SO. SOFT.  It can also be used on split ends and lips!

What Lush has to say about the product: “Our mix of candelilla wax and organic jojoba oil is a vegan alternative to beeswax; it creates a protective barrier on the skin and locks in moisture, while rose wax soothes irritations. Apply to scrapes to relieve discomfort, to tame flyaway hair, or even as a lip balm.”

I hope that you enjoyed seeing all of my favorite things from Lush!  What are your Lush must-haves?

The Body Shop Haul <3

Hello, beauties!

Today, I’ll be showing you the lovely things I picked up at The Body Shop (AKA the happiest place on earth).  This is one of my favorite stores, so I couldn’t resist buying a few more things than planned… Oops.  Let’s dig right in!

IMG_3876 IMG_3878

I ALWAYS see VelvetGh0st (Gabriella) from YouTube using The Body Shop’s InstaBlur Primer and raving about it.  She convinced me that I needed it in my life and after swatching it on my hand in the store, I had even higher hopes for it!  It blurred all the imperfections on my skin and made my hand SO. SMOOTH.  I can’t wait to give this a go on my face!  The lady at the store also told me it would control any oils, which is a plus!

IMG_3871 (1) IMG_3870

I next picked up their Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser.  I have extremely sensitive skin and have been on the lookout for a new gentle face wash.  I tried this out last night along with their Muslin Cloth, which I also picked up.  So far, I think it’s AMAZING. It will probably deserve a post of it’s own in the future.

I constantly have patchy, peeling skin all over my body.  That might be too much information, but we’re all friends here!  I really wanted something to help exfoliate and so I decided to pick up this Body Polisher.  I tried this out today and am loving it!

Next, I really wanted something from the Smoky Poppy line, so I picked up their travel size Body Butter and I am really loving this scent!

I love any type of hydrating product that is sprayable, because I am lazy when it comes to moisturizing and spray bottles just make my life that much easier.  I decided to try out their Wild Argan Radiant Oil.  The scent is nice and not overpowering.  It looks beautiful on the skin and it can be used on the hair and face as well.

IMG_3859 (1)

I also picked up their Coconut Body Milk.  I am in LOVE with this.  It smells amazing and moisturizes my skin so well!

IMG_3833 IMG_3834

Their Shea scent is my absolute favorite, so I picked up their Body Whip.  I love this stuff!  It soaks into the skin super quickly and doesn’t leave me feeling sticky at all!

Thanks so much for reading. ❤ I hope you all enjoyed seeing this haul!  What are your favorite products from The Body Shop that I need to try out?

Makeup Geek Haul + Swatches!

Hi there, beauties:)

Today, I received a glorious package in the mail, full of Makeup Geek goodness that I can’t wait to show you all.  I’ve never used any of their products before, so I am really excited to try them out!  Let’s get to swatching!:)

First, I picked out Barcelona Beach, because I am obsessed with cool-toned, matte browns and have been going through withdrawals since I ran out of Urban Decay’s Tease in my Naked 2 Palette.  I think this will be a great dupe for that shade!  This color is flattering on my skin tone is the perfect crease color!

Next, I HAD to pick up the shade that EVERYONE talks about… Peach Smoothie!  This is a shade used religiously by some of my favorite YouTubers, so needed to try it myself.  I must say, after swatching it on my hand, I am already beginning to fall in love with this shadow… It is SO. PIGMENTED.  I’m sure it will be an amazing transition color and can’t wait to test it on my eyes!

IMG_3165IMG_3262 (1)IMG_3167 (1)

Homecoming is a beautiful, shimmery brown shade with a slight purple-ish tint to it.  I am OBSESSED with this color.  I have heard so many amazing things about this shadow and I know that I will be wearing it all the time!

IMG_3257IMG_3258 IMG_3259 (1)IMG_3175

Cocoa Bear is another very popular shade that I have seen used many, MANY times by YouTubers such as Jaclyn Hill.  I’ve always thought this shade looked so beautiful and I  was missing a warm, brown, matte shade in my collection.  This fixes that problem!

IMG_3267IMG_3266 IMG_3271IMG_3181

Lastly, I had to try out one of Makeup Geek’s Renowned Blushes!  I decided to go for Romance, since peach-y, shimmery blushes are my LIFE.  This blush looks almost like a warmer highlight shade when swatched on my hand and I’m really looking forward to seeing it on my face!

I picked out a medium-sized, black Z palette to put my shadows and blush in. It comes with a bunch of magnets so that you can de-pot anything that you want and have it conveniently stored!  I am really excited to de-clutter my makeup collection and start putting all of my favorite things in this little palette to save space (and sanity)!

My first impression of these products is that they are extremely pigmented and creamy.  I am really impressed with the formula and super excited to try them out on my face!  I have heard that these shadows are better than MAC -and for only a third of the price!  These eyeshadows cost $5.99 and the blushes cost $9.99.  I am really impressed with the quality of these products and how affordable they are!

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed!  Have you tried any Makeup Geek products?  If so, what do you think of them?  Are the shadows dupes for MAC in your opinion?

A Little Ulta Splurge <3

Hello, lovelies:)

So, I may or may not have popped into Ulta the other day with a few things in mind that I really wanted to pick up.  But it’s Ulta we’re talking about here.  This place has magical powers that suck in every innocent passerby.  SO I picked up a few more things than planned.  It’s life.

I’ve been desperately needing some dry shampoo, so I picked up some from Batiste in the Fruity and Cheeky Cherry scent along with some Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Gold from NYX and Ardell’s 105 Natural lashes.  I love these lashes so much!  I use the liner on my inner corner when I want to have a really sparkly and dramatic look (that I usually wear to take pictures of and then proceed to sit on the couch and watch TV… I don’t put the glamour to use).

IMG_2329IMG_2350 IMG_2351IMG_2352 IMG_2349IMG_2347

My brows wanted to look like their idol Cara Delevigne, so I grabbed some brow pomade in Taupe and a brow pen in the universal light shade, which were each from Anastasia… I am so excited to own these.  I feel like I am now officially a beauty blogger because I have heard so much about Anastasia’s brow products and never owned them.  I then wanted some gel to hold the little caterpillars in place, so I picked up some Maybelline Brow Mascara in Blonde.  I like using lighter products to fill in my eyebrows since I already have brows that are pretty dark and thick on their own.  I just like to fill in any balder spots and make them a little bolder while lightening them up a bit.

IMG_2332IMG_2338IMG_2362IMG_2360 IMG_2361IMG_2359

I wanted to test out all of my new things to see how I like them, so I came up with a “dramatic, warm, teal, smoky eye… with a pop of gold”.  I am not good at naming things.  :/  I used all the new brow products along with the new lashes and gold liner and thought they all were amazing!   I highly recommend the brow pen if you’re looking for a natural brow product (I promise it’s not scary, even though it seems like you’re sharpie-ing on your brows)!

I hope that you enjoyed seeing my little haul! Thanks for reading<3

Mini Festive Lush Haul

~Hello, Lovelies!~

Today, I am here to show you the little treasures I got from Lush a few days ago!   I am in love with Lush, so it was hard for me not to go crazy on their website, but I managed. 🙂  Enjoy!

First off, I ordered the Tender is the Night massage bar which smells very sweet and vanilla-y.  The website says it is made with vanilla absolute, jasmine absolute, and ylang ylang essential oils. How cute is the little flower on it?  I love it. 🙂  Although, it does leave the skin very shiny and almost greasy feeling for a while and doesn’t soak in quickly.  Still, the scent is beautiful and I think it’s so cute!

Next, I got the Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar, which I also LOVE.  It smells super sweet and, obviously, like strawberries.  I think it’s just so cute in it’s little strawberry shape. 🙂

I then purchased the Wizard bubble bar.  HOW. CUTE. IS. THIS.  It has a little wizard hat and everything.  GAH. Adorable.  I can’t really describe the scent, but according to the Lush website, it’s filled with “Energizing tangerine, juniperberry and fennel essential oils that help balance the skin, while its warming and uplifting scent banishes stress and helps you recover from the day.”  Banishes stress?  i could use some of that.  So basically, it’s perfection that everyone needs in their life.  If little wizard-shaped bubble bars filled with star-shaped sparkles don’t make your life better, I don’t know what will. 😉

To end this post in a bang, we will close on the most sparkly of them all, the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar.  It’s supposed to be very re-energizing and the website says it is filled with “An uplifting blend of juniperberry, grapefruit and lime oils”.  I am SO. EXCITED. to use it!  Who doesn’t want an energizing bath that smells amazing and leaves you covered in sparkles?

I hope that you enjoyed seeing my new Lush products!  I am obsessed with them!  Thank you for reading!
